Introduction
Follow the steps below to set up your email account on an Android device such as a Samsung Galaxy, including Fold devices. These instructions work for both the Samsung Email app and the Gmail app.
Step by Step Guide
Step 1: Open your Email App
Open the Email app on your device. If you prefer, you can also use the Gmail app.
Step 2: Add a New Account
Tap Add account and choose Other.
Enter your email address and password, then tap Manual setup.
Step 3: Incoming Mail Settings (IMAP)
- Username: Your full email address
- Password: Your email password
- IMAP Server: imap.emailarray.com
- Port: 993
- Security Type: SSL/TLS
Step 4: Outgoing Mail Settings (SMTP)
- SMTP Server: smtp.emailarray.com
- Port: 465
- Security Type: SSL/TLS
- Require Sign-In: Yes
- Username: Your full email address
- Password: Your email password
Step 5: Complete Setup
Follow the remaining prompts to finish setup. Your email should begin syncing shortly.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Ensure the username is your full email address
- Make sure SMTP authentication is enabled
- Double-check server names and ports if connection fails
- Always select SSL/TLS when prompted
